An artist book created from reclaimed biodegradable beauty product container, leather, brass wire, and cutoffs from the text of Kate Chopin's novella The Awakening. Traditional foil gilding was utilized to decorate the leather exterior. A simple coptic binding was used for the text block. Brass jewelry wire was woven to create a cage.
Edition of 3, artist is keeping first edition.
